In early March, there are new brands to add to the list of those that have been officially approved as partners to operate within the iGaming Ontario platform. On March 10, 2022, Rush Street Interactive received approval for their Ontario online sports betting and casino brand: BetRivers.ca. With so many of their ads being broadcast throughout the province, potential customers many want to know what's likely in store for them. On March 3, 2022, online sports betting, poker and casino operator, '888' announced that they had received approval from the AGCO in order to partner with iGaming Ontario for its various iGaming verticals in the province. The company intends to operate all three of these iGaming verticals in Ontario. These include 888sport, 888poker and 888casino.
These two well-established gaming companies will be able to operate legal Ontario betting sites when the market opens on April 4, 2022, and join 'theScore Bet Canada' and 'PointsBet Canada' as companies that have gained their operator license. We expect more operator approvals in the coming weeks in advance of the market launch date.
